What an amazing time I had this past weekend as I was privileged to be in the presence of President Pierre Nkrunziza and First Lady Denise Nkrunziza. It was a blessing to sit down with the First Lady and share what we are trying to do to benefit the Buntu Foundation. What was most amazing was to listen to President Nkrunziza share the Word of God. He spoke on Matthew 22:37-39 "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it. You shall love your neighbor as yourself." This is the foundation to life in God's Kingdom. LOVE! Love God and love your neighbor. There is no greater commandment or action that we can do than to love.
To love God with all your "soul" is at the very center of being a solutionist! I have even coined a new word to describe who you really are. You are a SOULUTIONIST! The word “soul” in the Greek means “breath” or “spirit” and comes from a root word meaning “to breathe voluntarily but gently.” Just as a person breathes voluntarily, without thinking so the “Soulutionist” moves naturally out of who he is, to be the answer to the problems around him.
President Nkrunziza was emphasizing the need to love God and your neighbor. To a soulutionist, loving your neighbor should be as natural as breathing. That love is the motivation of solving problems in the world. The motivation of Jesus coming to earth to solve man's greatest problem was "love." If you are to be a "soulutionist" you must love God and your neighbor. I go to Burundi because I love God and I love the Burundi people!
If love is the solution to the massive problems facing President Nkrunziza and his people, it is the solution to your problems also. Love will ultimately lead you to your destiny!
