I am a great believer in each person having a personal destiny that is positive and powerful. The question that most people ask is; "What is my destiny and what does it look like?" This past week one of my friends went to be with the Lord. Sad to see the passing of Roberta Coffman, a true Champion of the faith! This sad occassion gave me the opportunity to fly to Portland, OR and be a part of the going home celebration for Roberta. What I beheld was the DESTINY OF A BELIEVER! What did it look like? First it looked like this:
Do you see it? Destiny is embodied in the person of an individual! Destiny smiles and touches the heart of her husband and does him good and not evil all the days of his life (Prov. 31:12)! Destiny is surrounded by her children that praise her and they are living replicas of their mother (Prov. 31:28)! Destiny is praised by all who have been touched by her life. Her works remain visible in all their lives and her legacy is eternal (Prov. 31:31)!
What an amazing time I experienced as I had the privilege of not only remembering a true Champion, but of witnessing first hand her destiny and the incredible transfer to her family. There is no doubt in my mind that Roberta Coffman lives on! Not only in eternity with Jesus Christ, but in the lives of those she touched. Now that is a glorious picture of the destiny that Jesus Christ has for us all! In the end the more you look at Roberta the more you see JESUS and that is the destiny of us all!
God bless Harry, Stacia, Felicia, and Ben as they continue to be the voice of destiny in the future! What does it look like in them? Jesus!
